Here in her layout titled “You Look Up to Troy,” Christin is right on trend with her layered elements. From her cleverly placed bling to butterflies, banners, washi tape and spray mists, this layout is beyond gorgeous.

Elegant Valentine’s Day Cards

It features Zva Creative’s Imperial Taupe Flourish (Item # CRB-04CB-118). Andrea cut it down to fit on her card and then used the leftover elements to add accents to her stamped heart.  She then framed the heart image with Pearl Lines (Item # PE-02CB-107) and finished it off by adding a cluster of mini roses (Item #s FLBK-03CB-132 and FLBK-03CB-125).

Zva Creative January DT Blog Hop!

Flourishes and Flowers

With the 2012 Winter Craft and Hobby Association trade show right around the corner, we are excited to start sharing work created by our design team using new products being released at the show.

First up is a beautiful floral all occasion card created by design team member, Windy Robinson.

This card features Zva’s new Chocolate/Orange Imagine Crystals (Item # CR-05CA-105), which are layered with three of Zva’s flowers (Item #s FL-04CA-130, # FLBK-03CB-118 and # FLBK-03CB-108).

Next is an elegant floral friendship card that Windy has created using Zva’s new Grape Crystal and Pearl Flourish V (Item # CRS-05CA-117).

The flourish is paired with a collage of Zva’s flowers (Item #s FL-04CA-136, # FLBK-03CB-131, # FLBK-03CB-110, and # FLBK-03CB-145) and layered over an embossed label die cut that is stamped with a sentiment. Add that and a bow to a card made from beautiful patterned paper and you have a stunning card that is created in minutes.

Snow Day

Today, let’s take a look at Design Team Member Carole Maurin’s darling layout called Snow Day!  This one is almost too cute for words! Carole’s use of colors that are not traditionally seen on winter projects makes this layout upbeat and fun.

Carole MaurinSnow Day shows an example of how you can use Zva’s crystal and pearl flourishes to draw attention to the photos on your layouts. Here Carole has arranged Zva’s Lovely Red Crystal Flourishes (Item # CR-04CB-113) with a Long Red Flourish Crystal (Item # CRB-03CA-118) in a triangle around her photo. This draws a viewer’s eye to the photo, making it the focal point of the layout.

Carole Maurin Snow Day DetailHere is a close up of Zva’s Long Red Flourish Crystal (Item # CRB-03CA-118) applied to the layout above the title. It not only draws attention to the title of her work but also serves as a clever reminder of the blustery wind that often accompanies a snow day.

It’s All In The Details

Today we are sharing one of the layouts that is shown in detail on our home page because it is truly an amazing layout that deserves a closer look.

In this layout design team member Tara Orr uses Zva’s beautiful grape and lavender colored crystals, pearls and flowers as accents for her stunning layout (Little Thing Called) Love.

Tara’s combination of handmade rosettes, doilies, lace and fussy cut hearts layer exquisitely with Zva’s Lovely Grape & Crystal Flourishes (Item # CR-04CB-119) and flowers (Item #s FL-04CA-105, FL-04CA-136, FLBK-03CB-110, FLBK-03CB-121, FLBK-03CB-131, FLBK-03CB-142).

Here Tara has masterfully clustered Zva’s 4.25” Fuchsia Flower with Leaves (Item # FL-04CA-105) with a 1.5” Purple Graceful Rose (Item # FL-04CA-136) and two Mini Roses (Item #s FLBK-03CB-121 and FLBK-03CB-110).

The beautiful detail in Tara’s work conforms her layout into a true work of art that will be cherished and loved for years to come.

Happy Holidays from Zva Creative
